The Yoga Retreat Experience
Your Yoga retreat in Greece, begins on a small island where community and tradition becomes the way of life. Soma is the Greek word for “body” and the term yoga is the Sanskrit word for “union” or to “join”. The classes you will experience will help join the body, mind and spirit, creating a safe environment for meditation, reflection and self awareness.
Your yoga experience starts each day with a morning Hatha yoga practice, followed by a healthy buffet breakfast. The afternoon will include an excursion on the island, with a local guide. In the early evening, there will be a specialized yoga practice.
Soma Yoga Retreats includes different types of yoga practices to educate the guest on the many forms of yoga. We have included group dinners as well, sampling the variety of fresh local Greek cuisine on the island. This cultural interaction explores the island’s rich history, music and ancient customs.
There is plenty of free time to explore and meet new friends on your own. With each yoga class you will experience a sense of lightness, inner peace and the effects of daily stress being melted away. Only a maximum of 10 guests are booked per retreat, so we can provide personal individual attention. Please note: all classes are done in the English language.
